Infrastructure for Resilient Island States (IRIS)
Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are highly vulnerable to the devastating impacts of climate change while facing unique development challenges, including geographic isolation from global markets, limited connectivity, constrained economies of scale, and restricted labour mobility.
Strengthening infrastructure resilience is key for sustainable development, safeguarding communities, and ensuring economic stability.
CDRI champions disaster resilient infrastructure for SIDS by deploying experts, sharing best practices, and providing direct funding and technical assistance through the IRIS initiative.
IRIS equips SIDS with the knowledge, tools, and partnerships needed to build climate and disaster resilient infrastructure.
