CDRI Fellowship Programme Cohort 2022-23

The CDRI Fellowship Programme 2022–23 supports innovative research to strengthen infrastructure resilience against climate and disaster risks. Building on its 2020 inception, the 12-month seed grant initiative offers financial support and capacity development to foster practical, scalable solutions.

The 2022–23 cohort featured 14 interdisciplinary teams from 11 countries, addressing diverse hazards under themes such as early warning systems, resilience standards, and nature-based solutions. Projects ranged from resilient rural road guidelines and water treatment for floating communities to real-time bridge scour detection and power grid resilience. Other initiatives explored cyclonic healthcare infrastructure and the seismic vulnerability of heritage minarets.

The fellowship outcomes offer actionable frameworks, technologies, and planning tools, emphasizing socio-economic relevance and innovation. This document compiles project abstracts, showcasing global, scalable approaches to resilient infrastructure development.
