Implementing Partner: Build Change
Project name:Global Methodology for Infrastructure Resilience Review
To help countries build resilient infrastructure, CDRI, in partnership with UNDRR, is strengthening infrastructure governance frameworks.
Together, they developed the Global Methodology for Infrastructure Resilience Review, a strategic tool enabling nations to assess resilience, identify critical gaps, and define targeted actions for improvement.
This methodology equips governments with data-driven insights to enhance infrastructure planning and safeguard against future risks.

Impact
1
The Infrastructure Resilience Review has helped countries pinpoint gaps in institutional arrangements and regulatory frameworks. Through stress testing, nations can identify vulnerabilities, assess potential failure points, and strengthen infrastructure systems to enhance resilience against future disruptions.
2
The stress test analysis identifies key hazards, enhances awareness of infrastructure vulnerabilities, and strengthens understanding of resilience among stakeholders. By pinpointing weaknesses and potential failure points, it empowers decision-makers to develop targeted strategies for long-term resilience.
3
It benchmarked national infrastructure practices against the Principles for Resilient Infrastructure and guided the development of a national roadmap that integrates resilience throughout the infrastructure cycle, from planning and design to construction and operation, ensuring long-term sustainability.
