Project name: A Roadmap to enhance the resilience of Chile’s power system
Chile faces severe disaster risks from earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and extreme weather, which have repeatedly disrupted power infrastructure and economic growth.
To address these challenges, CDRI has partnered with Chile’s Ministry of Energy and SENAPRED to launch a comprehensive Power Sector Resilience Project.
By fostering a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach, the project aims to strengthen disaster risk governance, secure reliable energy delivery, and safeguard Chile’s sustainable development against escalating climate and geological threats.
