Global Infrastructure Resilience Report Edition 2

Implementing Partner: Build Change

Project Name:Research: Global Infrastructure Resilience Report Edition 2

Building on the success of the inaugural Global Infrastructure Resilience Report, the second edition will refine risk assessment methodologies and enhance their applicability.

It will address key questions from the first report’s preparation and dissemination, expanding its scope while integrating risk analysis and the financial, institutional, and technological dimensions of resilient infrastructure.

Featuring advanced modelling and analysis, it will downscale and project previous findings, shifting from identifying resilience dividend benefits to strategies for capturing them, driving actionable solutions for global infrastructure resilience.

Impact

1

Expanding risk assessment while developing use cases and capacity building initiatives will inform public investment planning, infrastructure design, standards, and the calibration of insurance and risk financing instruments, fostering data-driven strategies for resilient infrastructure.

2

The Global Infrastructure Resilience Survey (GIRS) will gather insights from experts across diverse regions, examining institutional, financial, capacity, and regulatory factors and identifying key weaknesses in infrastructure systems to advance resilience strategies worldwide.
