Project Name: Improving schools’ resilience to natural disasters and climate adaptation in Comoros
This project aims to enhance the resilience of pre-primary, primary, and secondary school buildings across Comoros, safeguarding them against cyclones, earthquakes, floods, storm surges, and other climate-related hazards.
Through comprehensive data collection, it will establish a baseline assessment of existing school infrastructure and formulate guidelines for reinforcing and upgrading vulnerable institutions nationwide.
A government-led initiative will be launched to prioritize and strengthen key schools, ensuring their adaptability and long-term sustainability in the face of environmental challenges.
Lead Agency: Ministry of the National Education of Comoros
